Video footage was gathered during years of on-the-ground research by Jack and Pat Fletcher as they traveled the trail from its eastern origin at Fort Gibson/Tahlequah, Oklahoma, all the way to Fort Bridger, Wyoming. The footage captures trail segments, ruts, river crossings, and key historical sites that are otherwise difficult to visit.
